Clarity Under Pressure:

The Executive Discipline of Leading Through Tension

During the session, we explored what happens to leaders under pressure and why clarity often disappears when tension rises. Participants learned how stress can trigger reactivity, narrow listening, and rushed decisions, and practiced tools to pause, regain focus, and separate facts, stories, and emotional reactions.

We also focused on how to lead tense conversations with more steadiness and curiosity. Using the Clarity Question Framework and the three habits of steady leaders, participants identified practical ways to reduce defensiveness, restore dialogue, and respond more intentionally in real leadership situations.
